Client Stories :: The Storey Family
What better way to tell you about the importance of family photos and how fun a lifestyle photography session is than to sit down and chat with my wonderful clients and hear about their own personal experience. This is a new series of blog posts I’m excited to share with you, all about my Clients’ Stories – stay tuned for more!
Hi Lisa! Tell us a little bit about your family.
Family is everything to us. My husband Owen and I have two gorgeous girls, Jemima who is 3 and Bethany 1, they are our absolute world. We love being outdoors and spending quality time with one another to create special memories.
What was the reason or occasion that you called me for family photos?
We first contacted you for Jemima’s 1st birthday cake smash session. We loved the photographs and how you captured the love we have for one another and so we have had you capture special moments and milestones for us ever since like our pregnancy/family shoot, Bethany at 7 months and again for her 1st birthday cake smash.
Did you have any hesitations or concerns going into your session?
I think prior to meeting any photographer you can feel a little apprehensive. You obviously want the pictures to look beautiful and for myself, it’s a very personal experience as you’re sharing a part of your private life with this person you have never met. That’s why it’s so important you feel comfortable with your photographer as I definitely think it shows through in the pictures when you’re not.
Tell us about your photo session? How was it for you and the rest of the family?
From the very first time we had you we felt comfortable, we could sense you’re a warm, kind person so this made us feel relaxed and the rest was easy. I love portrait style photos but without the awkward pose look, you are always able to beautifully capture this along with amazing, natural lifestyle pictures.
What was your favourite part of your family photography experience?
We love that we can just be ourselves and have fun around you as you capture our family and all of our emotions naturally and perfectly.
What do these photos mean to you and your family?
We see our family photos as a true investment. Time goes by way too quickly. Creating memories with our girls and having those moments captured to view and look back on by future generations to come is something we truly cherish.
How are you enjoying your images?
We have been waiting a long time to move into our dream home that we’re building down in Jervis Bay, we’re hoping to be in by the end of this year and I can’t wait to print and hang our beautiful pictures everywhere.
